DescriptionThe study of the ground-water resources of Atlantic County is part of program of studies of the water resources of New Jersey conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Conservation and Economic Development, Division of Water Policy and Supply. The purpose and scope of these studies are to assemble the available data on the geologic and hydrologic factors relating to the occurrence, movement, availability, and chemical quality of ground water in New Jersey; to evaluate and interpret the data and to make the results of the investigation available to the public. This report presents a general summary of the ground-water geology and the chemical quality of ground water in Atlantic County. It includes selected well data, chemical analyses of ground water, well logs, and a comprehensive tabulation of ground-water pumpage for public supply in Atlantic County.
